3 Ways Jesus Makes Life Beautiful
June 11 is National Make Life Beautiful Day. It’s a time to show a kindness, help people achieve a personal goal, or pitch in for a worthy cause. As National Days go, this is a very nice one because it immediately makes me think of Jesus. He is the One who made my life beautiful when I was born again, and he has continued to do so every day. Those who don’t know Jesus or put their faith and trust in Him can’t understand all this—that’s according to the Bible. In 1 Corinthians 2:14, it says:
“But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.”
No matter what unbelievers may say or what they may see happen to Christians and so-called Christians, believers who put their faith in Jesus have their lives made beautiful by Him. Below, learn more about how Jesus Makes Life Beautiful.
1-Jesus Makes an Exchange
When we confess our sins and believe that Jesus is God’s Son and that he died on the cross for our sins, something eternity-altering happens. God removes our sin and all the guilt attached to it. In exchange, we become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. This is epic! Whereas previously we were as good as dead in our sins, we have been made alive in Jesus and given direct access to Almighty God, our heavenly Father. We are free from sin and its bondage!
2-He Gives Us Wings
Life can be a drain, but we Christians have joy and strength available to us in every circumstance of life. We could be imprisoned and experience all the beauty that heaven is right there. It says in Isaiah 40:29-31:
“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
3-Jesus Lights our Path
We are meant to trust God for everything. He is to be our Lord, which means He’s the boss. The rebellion in humans may make these aspects of Christianity seem undesirable. But anyone with experience and understanding of what this means knows God leads us on the best possible path for our life. There is nothing more beautiful than a life in submission to Him. We still have the power of choice at all times, and the best way to use our power is to recognize that we are nothing without Jesus. When we humble ourselves before God, He lifts us to places far loftier than any we may have imagined.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
