Things might be heating up on the earth, and we don’t want to be among the large population of church-goers who don’t recognize that blessed are the persecuted Christians.

Life sometimes comes at us fast and hard but no matter what happens, God takes what is broken, and he makes it wonderful.

Outside of yuletide season, sometimes it takes terrible tragedy to get us to dislodge ourselves from the pew or the couch and actually do something for others. Hurricane Harvey’s devastation has motivated many thousands of people to roll up their sleeves and help, including neighbor helping neighbor.

Throughout my life as a born-again Christian and follower of Jesus, I’ve developed a theory about the secret power of nature. The wonderful impact being in nature has on us is a direct result of the fact that all of nature exists in full obedience to God.

Introducing people to Jesus in the U.S. is a different kind of challenge, since He is part of our culture. An event featuring The Jesus Film, which was made decades ago, may not draw interest. So how do we go about telling the Good News of our Savior and hero?

Jesus is actually the real thing! He doesn’t change with the tides of public opinion or new pressures for the sake of political correctness. God is unchanging, and many in the world consider Him and the Bible to be irrelevant for not conforming to the times. Nothing could be further from the truth!
